One of the things we did was to make a cake that Aunt B and I had been drooling over. A friend of mine is a wonderful cake decorator and seems to specialize in candy bar cakes. She had recently made a Reese's Peanut Butter/Chocolate Fudge cake. Doesn't that make YOUR mouth water just reading it!?
Well, Aunt B is a very, VERY talented cake decrator. She did the cake and groom's cake for our wedding umpteen years ago and I have received so many compliments on it over the years. And, I agree, they were the most beautiful wedding cakes I have ever seen. So, when she came this week she showed us how to do this PBCF cake! We were so excited! (Well, everyone was excited except for Rachel who has a Peanut Butter allergy. :( Her sister lovingly offered her a popsicle.....) I baked the cake, Aunt B assembled it and added the first layer of icing and then she taught Rachel and Grace how to add the finishing touches!
Here are the pictures of the process!
Thank YOU Aunt Brenda!!!! Yes, it WAS as delicious as it looks!
"He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee."
