The antfarm sits up on our bar. Attached to the bar is our kitchen counter and below that is our dishwasher. Just a few minutes after shooting the above video, we started the dishwasher. Andy went back over to look at the ants and noticed that they all looked frozen. Apparantly the vibrations from the dishwasher scared them and caused them to just freeze. I would never have thought about the ants being afraid during trembling of their habitat, but it makes sense. We will have to do some research to find out more about this!
