Then, Rachel got started right away cutting out a pattern for a cute little doll dress!
I don't have pictures of that final project yet, but Rachel let me borrow her machine and I made each of the girls something.
A jumper for Grace. She picked out the pattern and the fabrics. She thought that was very neat!
And a skirt for Rachel. This fabric was so pretty.
We later decided that the sewing machine was not the quality we really wanted Rachel to have so we took it back and bought her a Janome sewing machine. It is much nicer.
We took it on a recent trip to see Grandma and Papa in Oklahoma and Rachel and Grandma worked on a project. It is a sewing apron for her table with her machine.
Sewing was so much fun that even Daddy got into it. I had planned to do a quick and easy dress for Grace and when he saw me working on it, we decided he would do the sewing! And here's the finished product!
I am also very happy to say that I have a sewing machine picked out and we put it in layaway. I wanted a machine that did quite a bit more than Rachel's so we're going to wait and hopefully get it in a few weeks. We have SO many more projects planned-we can't wait to get started and I'm sure we will post about each and every one! "She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands."
Proverbs 31:13

What great projects! I love watching you with your daughters and wish we could've gotten to know you better when you were here.
