So, we must first let you know that we usually sleep late on Christmas morning. Lazy, yes, but we usually stay up late wrapping gifts since we do not usually do it as we buy them and the kids are usually so excited the night before that they are up very late so they are sleepy in the morning too. So, Christmas morning is usually a lazy morning for us.
The kids decided to send a little person into our room this morning and wake us up. This is the method she used:
Her little Barbie radio thing that someone gave her that plays short little kiddie songs (very high pitched, LOUD kiddie songs). Early this morning (after 7 some time) we hear little foot steps run into our room. Then a button was pushed and those cute little footsteps ran off with stifled giggles and we are serenaded until we woke up. We're sharing that because in all the years of being parents, that is the first time they have done that. We thought it was just too funny and wondered what in the world took them so long!
Then it was time for presents. You can click on the picture to see what they got for Christmas.
After that, they started playing with some of their goodies, we had a late breakfast and then we got ready to go visit some residents in a local nursing home. (more about that in a future post!)

That's SO funny about the kids sending Grace in to wake you guys up. We ALWAYS sent Isaac in to wake mom/dad up. He always came and woke the rest of us up, so after much discussion, we always ended up sending him downstairs!! The joys of being the youngest. : )
